On this morning day we will start by driving from Arusha towards Makuyuni and on to Mto Wa Mbu. Stop at Mto wa Mbu we take part in a village tour to learn a little about what a typical village in the area is like This two hour tour will take you from the village’s local market through several different farms, local huts, and artisan shops, and back to the market, giving you the opportunity to get a true glimpse of northern Tanzanian culture!! After our walk we have a local traditional Lunch before continuing on to the afternoon game to a small but wildlife-rich, Lake Manyara National Park — home to grasslands, forests, marshlands, scrub and parklands punctuated with acacia trees. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. Overnight at Eileens Trees Inn All meals are included. Day 2:  Serengeti National Park

Depart your camp this morning after breakfast and head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Overnight at Serengeti Savannah Camp, All meals are included. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Full day in the Serengeti to explore this amazing eco-system, find the wildebeest migration, search for a wild dog lair, watch the huge Grumeti crocodiles or spot a sleeping leopard up a tree, follow the circling vultures to a recent lion kill or study the birdlife. You can choose to stay out all day or return to your lodge for lunch and a siesta before venturing out again in the cooler evening temperatures and then get back to your Camp before sunset. Overnight at Serengeti Savannah Camp, All meals are included. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.

Day 4: Central Serengeti – Ndutu

After breakfast we will head to the Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. We arrive in time for lunch at the camp, and after lunch we will do an afternoon game drive in the Ndutu area. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game. Overnight at Ndutu Lodge, All meals are included. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.

Day 5 & 6: Full day game viewing Ndutu

After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive in the Ndutu area. Explore the range of different habitats that include swamps, woodland, soda lakes and the world famous Serengeti short grass plains. See great herds of wildebeest and zebra. During a short time frame around February, normally lasting for about 3 weeks, the majority of the wildebeest calve. The sea of grass provides little cover and the young are easy pickings for a variety of predators. Wildebeest calves can run minutes after they are born and within 3 days they are normally strong enough to keep up with the herd. Overnight Serengeti Savannah Camps All meals are included. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.

Day 7: Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast drive and descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque conserved area, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. In the late afternoon, head back to the rim and drive to Eileens Trees Inn for dinner and overnight. All meals are included. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
